Sewage Pump Station
This project replaced an existing lift station in a remote location. E & M designed the new station for installation by Borough of Smethport, PA maintenance personnel. The wet well was a sectioned, precast concrete manhole and the pump package was factory assembled with all piping, valves and pumps. Borough forces installed the manhole, wet well piping and then set the prefabricated pump unit on top.
A second manhole houses a solids comminutor to reduce pump plugging. A separate electrical control panel houses the controls for both units.
